Essex Police Department Invites Community to Combination Stuff-a-Cruiser and Coffee with a Cop Event

Chief of Police Paul Francis and the Essex Police Department would like to invite the community to have Coffee with a Cop and to help the Department stuff a police cruiser with toys for donation to a local toy drive.

WHEN:

Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE:

In front of the Public Safety Building, 11 John Wise Ave.

WHAT:

The Essex Police Department will combine a first-ever Stuff-a-Cruiser event with a Coffee with a Cop event, giving residents a chance to have a coffee and chat with police while also contributing to a merry Christmas for families in need.

A marked police cruiser will be parked in front of the Essex Public Safety Building, ready to take donations of unwrapped toys and gift cards. Donations will be accepted throughout the event.

For those who may not be able to attend the event, donations will be accepted in the main lobby vestibule of the Public Safety Building, as well as the lower lobby vestibule until noon on Monday, Dec. 6.

Donations will be delivered to Woodman’s of Essex, 121 Main St., on Monday, Dec. 6 for Senator Bruce Tarr’s annual North Shore Holiday Toy Drive, in which he partners with local radio station North Shore 104.9 to benefit the Cape Ann Kids Holiday Fund, a local nonprofit that supports families in need during the holidays.
