Boat Launching Information & Parking for Boat Trailers

Rules and Regulations for the Use of the Town Landing

1. 1. The ramp may only be used by Essex Residents
   2. All launching or parked vehicles must display a valid sticker (Resident Parking or Transfer Station)
   3. Stickers referred to above must be affixed to the lower left hand corner of the vehicle’s windshield
   4. Parking is only allowed in designated spaces
   5. Designated spaces are to be used only by resident vehicles with boat trailers attached
   6. No boat trailers are to be left at the ramp unattached from the towing vehicle
   7. Resident overflow trailer parking is allowed off of Shephard Memorial Drive as follows: In center spaces of the municipal parking lot or behind the tennis courts in the dirt lot
   8. No vehicles with boat trailers are to park along Main Street, no non-resident vehicles are to park along Pickering Street, Martin Street, or Maple Street
   9. Violators of the above regulations, including parking by non-residents, are subject to a $100.00 parking fine and/or towing of the vehicle at the owner’s expense
   10. Car-top watercraft launches (kayaks/canoes/SUP) may not interfere with trailered boat launches or traffic and must be carried out to the right side of the ramp, near the grassy area
